The National Circus Festival of Ireland is committed to good governance and to being transparent about how the organisation is run and funded. Board of Directors

Niamh Colbert

- Joined April 2023

Niamh worked with renowned Street Arts company, Waterford Spraoi for 25 years. Initially as an artist but in later years as an Arts Administrator and Financial Controller. She is currently the Finance Manager of Waterford’s Theatre Royal.

Niamh has extensive experience in arts management and in particular the street art and spectacle sector. She is a former board member and treasurer of I.S.A.C.S (Irish Street Arts and Spectacle Network) and is currently a serving board member of the National Circus Festival of Ireland.

She holds a National Diploma in Fine Art from W.I.T., a FETAC level 6 qualification in Arts Administration and is also an A.C.C.A. Qualified accounting technician.

Ciara O’Mahony

- Joined April 2023

Ciara O’Mahony is a Cork-based producer with extensive experience working across art forms in the Irish cultural landscape. They bring a strong creative and logistical skill set to the coordination of projects ranging from intimate performances to large-scale festivals and public events. They have produced a wide range of cultural and theatrical projects, with work presented at leading festivals such as Dublin Fringe Festival, Cork Midsummer Festival, and Cairde Sligo Arts Festival.

Ciara was the producer behind two flagship Culture Night Late events, funded by The Arts Council in partnership with drag artist Candy Warhol and the queer performance collective Mockie Ah-celebrations that showcased their ability to bring bold, inclusive work into the public realm.

Committed to building capacity within the arts sector, Ciara actively supports the next generation of producers through nationwide networking events run with Promenade at festivals including Festival of Fools, Cairde Sligo, and the National Circus Festival of Ireland, where they also serve on the board. They have contributed to multiple panel discussions across Ireland, demystifying the producer’s role and advocating for greater recognition and support for producing as a vital artistic practice.

Catríona Fallon

- Joined April 2026

Catríona is the co-founder of the Green Arts Initiative in Ireland, working with venues and theatre companies to reduce their environmental impacts. With Julie’s Bicycle EU and Native Events, she has been supporting the roll out of the Arts Council’s Climate Action & Environmental Policy, delivering training to the arts sector, as well as supporting Creative Ireland’s Climate Action Scheme.

Catríona was Project Manager of a Creative Climate Action project with Dingle Hub, Corca Dhuibhne Inbhuanaithe – A Creative Imagining, (2021-22) on the Dingle Peninsula. She has a long-standing interest in energy, evidenced by her role as an SEC Mentor with the SEAI. She is committed to supporting community engagement on climate change as the Secretary of the West Kerry Dairy Farmers’ Sustainable Energy Community and a member of Transition Kerry.

John Breen

- Joined July 2026

John retired from Kerry County Council in September 2022 as Director of Services with responsibility for Environment & Water Services, Fire and Emergency services, Civil Defence and Library services as well as Municipal District manager for the Castleisland / Corca Dhuibhne Municipal District with Kerry County Council.

He has also previously served as Director of Services in Limerick City and as Town Clerk in Tralee and Town Manager of Listowel and Killarney Town Councils during a 36 year career in local government . A native of Kilkenny city he presently resides in Castleisland.

Pamela Prendiville

- Joined July 2026

Pamela Prendiville is an experienced tourism and marketing professional with over a decade of expertise in hospitality, destination marketing and communications. As Sales and Marketing Manager for The Ashe Hotel and Manor West Hotel in Tralee, she leads the strategic marketing and commercial activity for two of Kerry’s leading hotels, promoting the region to domestic and international visitors.

Before returning to her native Kerry, Pamela spent five years in Dublin working in broadcast media with RTÉ and the Houses of the Oireachtas, where she developed a strong foundation in communications, storytelling and public engagement. Since returning home, she has held marketing roles with leading tourism brands, including the Gleneagle Group and the Dingle Skellig Hotel.

A passionate advocate for Tralee and the wider county, Pamela serves as Chair of the Steering Committee of Tralee Chamber Alliance, working with businesses, community organisations and stakeholders to promote Tralee as a vibrant place to live, work, study and visit. She is delighted to bring her expertise in marketing, tourism and strategic collaboration to the Board of Directors of the National Circus Festival of Ireland.
