Bicurious are a confused, loud, instrumental and experimental duo based in Dublin. Sailing between math-rock grooves and progressive ambient soundscapes, they use thought-provoking samples as a lead vocal.
West Kerry native DJ Ben Ó Faoláin’s genre-blurring eclecticism was inspired by dancefloor encounters with the djing of Coldcut, Afrika Bambaata and DJ Food while living in Bristol during the halcyon days of that city’s mid-90s music scene. His ‘Sweet Beat!’ night is a feature of festivals and dancefloors from Belfast to Baile an Fhirtéirigh.
