Aerial Hoop Masterclass with Jenny Tufts

Join Jenny for this very special Aerial Hoop Masterclass as part of NCFI 2025.

Masterclass Description

Focused on spin-based choreography: applying advanced spin technique to find unusual entries, isolations, and opportunities for transition that become exclusively available in collaboration with the forces of circular momentum. Working extensively with the ropes above the hoop, using Jenny’s signature choreography to open up fresh ways of partnering with this classic apparatus.

Prerequisites

Students should have a strong foundational understanding of flare technique, an established, consistent hoop practice, and enjoy spinning! A strict pull-up, familiarity with meathooks, and confidence hanging from a single arm are encouraged in order to get the most from the class.

About Jenny

Jenny is an American-born, Ireland-based specialist in spinning bar apparatus, and a chronic dabbler in everything else. She has performed and taught across three continents as a hula hooper, and aerialist, and once as a saucy hyena. Career highlights include dangling from cranes, executing her first walkover at age 30, and once being called by a member of GOM ‘the perfect middle of a 3-high.’ You can find her all over the internet under the name@circlecirque.
