Circus Siamsa

At the heart of and always a highlight of the festival is Circus Siamsa, a variety show, held each year in Siamsa Tíre theatre. As is the case every year, an entirely new show has been produced and curated by the National Circus Festival of Ireland bringing the stars of contemporary circus, street and variety performance to the stage in Siamsa.

This year acts from France, Germany, Spain, America, Sweden and the UK will delight the lucky people of Tralee for one day only. Make sure you don’t miss it.

It’s a family show but not just for kids!

Featuring 9 mind blowing acts with MC Logy 

  • Logy is a Belfast based bearded multi manipulator and performer. Performing since 2001. From Northern Ireland, he has performed in many countries all over the world as a successful Street and Stage performer with both comedy and circus.
  • Joachim Ciocca – Unicycle solo. Joachim has been riding a unicycle since 1994. His unique style mixes acrobatics and dance with the unicycle and has graced multiple stages around the world.
  • Nat and Jo – Rope duo. Natalie Oleinik and Joachim Ciocca’s duo rope act, No Longer Strangers, has received numerous awards including the Golden Star and Cirque du Soleil’s Artistic Vision and Innovation Award at the Young Stage International Circus Festival and the National Theatre Special Prize at Budapest Circus Festival.
  • Roxana Küwen Arsalan – a foot juggler, circus author and interpreter from Denmark.
  • Tilly and Johnny/ Head Over Wheels – aerial. Head Over Wheels is a disabled and non-disabled multidisciplinary company that combines aerial, music, and theatre to create shows that push the boundaries of Circus.
  • EpiCirque (John Gadd and Cassie Priestley) performing Rola Bola, Hula Hoop and Handstand Cane. The couple performs highly skilled solo and duo acts, specialising in Hula Hoop, Rola Bola, Contortion, Aerial Ring, Handstands, Pole and Adagio.
  • Henrik and Ali – Henrik and Ali from Belfast Circus School perform amazing acrobatics.
  • RicceMeticce (Hair Hang) is a capillary suspension duet, created and performed by Samanta Fois and Chiara Bagni. The show was invited at the 43 edition of the Festival Mondial du Cirque du Demain in Paris, where It won the price Franco Dragone.

Accessibility Note – Siamsa Tire

The Brandon Car park has designated accessible parking at the entrance from the car park to the building. The Centre is wheelchair accessible, with ground level access from the entrance to the foyer, bar, music room and box office. The main auditorium has 3 wheelchair spaces in Row O, accessible via a ramp from the foyer.
