Spins and Flares

A workshop focused on breaking down the art of spinning and flare technique. This workshop is perfect for students who want to learn or even level up in spinning entries. Some spin tolerance is required. 

About Chloe Commins

A Dublin based aerial performer. Having performed regionally and internationally, her performance work is inspired by generational stories and pushing societal boundaries.

In theatre, she has worked with Dead Centre for ‘Deaf Republic’ and ‘Like a machine v2’, as an Aerial consult for ‘The Race’ with The Ark theatre and more recently was a company member for Amanda Coogan’s show ‘Possession’ with the Dublin Theatre of the Deaf at the Project Arts Centre February 2024.

In 2023 she presented RESONANCE. An aerial theatre piece which takes inspiration from her experience growing up CODA (child of Deaf Adult) and includes ISL (Irish sign language) physical theatre and aerial hoop. She has had the opportunity to show this at the Scene & Heard festival Dublin, Festival of Fools Belfast and as a full length solo show at Dublin Fringe festival.

In 2024, she travelled to Vienna, Berlin and Italy as part of research and development for Island connect and Culture Moves Europe and she was invited to join Dublin Fringe Festival’s judging panel, where she judged over 20 shows.

Chloe has also produced, curated and performed in circus cabaret shows for ISL festival Athy and Wild roots music festival 2022, 2023, 2024.
